THE INFLUENCE STUDY OF IT REFORM TO URBAN RESIDENTS' TRAVEL BEHAVIOR IN CHINA: SOCIAL INFORMATIZATION AS INTERMEDIARY VARIABLES

Abstract  Nowadays under the background of information age, using information technology to adjust the residents' travel behavior and then to promote the development of social various aspects, especially in the field of traffic, has very important significance. Based on the analysis of existing related researches, this paper profoundly explains the concepts of information technology transformation and residents' travel behavior change, and determines the concept of social informatization when discussing the relationship between them. Set up path hypothesis model of how information technology transformation affects urban residents' travel behavior change and verify it empirically based on the "IT transformation and public travel" behavior survey in Tianjin(663). Using data analysis software such as SPSS, AMOS, processes these recovering data by structural equation model analysis method. According to data analysis results, this paper adjusts research hypothesis model and ultimately determines the most optimal and realistic research model. The results show that IT transformation not only has a directly marked impact on travel behavior change of urban residents; information literacy and information resources play role of mediating effect between the IT transformation and residents' travel behavior change. This paper from the internal impact process perspective, a different and brandnew way, explains the relationship between the information technology transformation and the urban residents' travel behavior change. Finally it advises that the governments not only should pay attention to the variety of hardware and software construction, to improve residents' information literacy and rich information resources also play a significant role in the development process.
